Learning to love breakfast again..

Let's talk about breakfast, shall we?

Why, it's the most important meal of the day! So, what does that mean?   Well, it means we're about to dedicate a WHOLE MONTH to the amazing world of breakfast!
Welcome to February - Fantasy Breakfast month!

Whether you're creating a fabulous Valentines day breakfast for your sweetie, or you just need some ideas to get you up and going in the morning, we're about to veganize some pretty un-vegan breakfast favorites (stay tuned for your favorite marshmallowy cereal too!)

Ok, so let's start out by talking about cow and chicken..

No - back up, not that cow and chicken... the LIVE ones!

They're a pretty huge staple in our breakfast foods.  Eggs, milk, cheese...
However, did you know that for every dairy purchase you buy - you're contributing to a calf's death in the way of veal?

Did you know that for every egg purchase you buy - there's just as many baby MALE chicks being ground up alive in grinders because they cannot produce eggs like their female counterparts?

This is a horrific practice.  You can buy 'free range' crap.  But that's just a nice way of saying 'we still killed that baby but we'll allow you to think you feel better about it..'   So, let's show the factory farmer how much he sucks and start thinking of breakfast as more humane.  Let's do breakfasts VEGAN style!

Check out this info:

Why You Should Eat a Healthy Breakfast

*Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  Breakfast provides you with the energy and nutrients that lead to increased concentration in the classroom and your work environment.
*Studies show that breakfast can be important in maintaining a healthy body weight.
*Hunger sets in long before it's time for lunch, but because it's not convenient to eat properly, many people who have not eaten breakfast snack on foods that  are high in fat and sugar.
*People who skip breakfast are unlikely to make up their daily requirement for some vitamins and minerals that a simple breakfast would have provided.
*Breakfast provides energy for the activities during the morning and helps to prevent that mid-morning slump.

GOTCHA!  You thought I was going to say more horrendous things about factory farmed Denny's breakfasts, didn't you?
Well, I could.  But surely you've figured it out by now.

So, let's talk about breakfast - namely, what's on the breakfast menu for the first weekend in February!

Quiche Cupcakes.

Oh yes - you got it.
And they're going to be divine!

Eggs, bacon, cheese - you name it, it's in there.
VEGAN style!

So, let's do the numbers:

Quiche Cupcakes                  Vegiche Cupcakes

Ok, so in the case of breakfast, this is where we'll start.  With quiche.  Hey, it can be breakfast, it can be brunch, whatever it is you like to munch!  (Perhaps I'll make it for the Brady Brunch on Sunday?)

Regardless, it's going to be yummy.
It's going to be out of this world..

Folks, I'm going to make you wish you ate more than a bagel and coffee for breakfast this month, it is my goal.

Keep it tuned, the breakfast veganizations start this weekend!
